Departure to Ouarzazate. You will cross the Atlas Mountains, passing through the highest point of the country, known as the Tichka Pass. We will make several stops in typical Berber villages and scenic areas, as well as at an argan oil cooperative. Argan oil is a local product whose production process and numerous benefits will be explained to us. We will stop at the ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where several films such as “The Mummy” and “Kingdom of Heaven” have been filmed, and where caravans used to stop so that travellers could exchange their camels for horses in order to cross the mountains, and at midday we will arrive in Ouarzazate, the Mecca of Moroccan cinema. We will have the option to visit the Tarourit Kasbah, the former residence of the Pacha of Marrakech and one of the best preserved in Morocco. We will also take the opportunity to see the museum dedicated to cinema, films shot in the area. We pass through the Dades valley, visiting the so-called ‘monkey fingers’, a rock formation that has taken on curious shapes. Overnight in the Dades valley.

Departure to Merzouga, passing through the Todra Gorges, where we can enjoy a beautiful walk following the course of the river, observing its small waterfalls. It is a popular area for climbers in search of new sensations. We will pass through the palm grove of Tinghir where we will be able to see the impressive contrast of its luxuriant vegetation with the arid landscape that surrounds it until we reach the city of Erfoud, a paradise for those looking for fossils, as the area was once covered by water. It is also known for the discovery of several dinosaur bones. From Erfoud we will go to Merzouga, in the desert, from where we will take the camels that will take us into the dunes and spend the night in a typical Amazigh (Berber) tent.
